Right, not been on any of my bikes since Morzine last year. The flip side of this is that my business is now ticking over nicely and the OH's disaster of a self build house is on it's way to be sorted too.

These months of ridiculous work now mean I can have a couple of mornings a week to ride again ๐Ÿ™‚

In anticipation of this I've bought a set of carbon forks off the 'bay and will be spending tomorrow morning fitting them and giving the Handjob a once over ahead of a short shakedown ride. Probably without a huge, fully stuffed camelbak ๐Ÿ˜‰

May even stick the outer ring back on the HJ and make it a proper XC bike.

Remember for the forks, measure thrice, cut once.

It's the star nut that normally causes me grief - even with a setting tool!

Nah. It's measure once, cut three times.

the problem with Jamie's method is cutting a bit back on ๐Ÿ˜€

I once lost concentration (answered the phone in between marking and sawing) and cut about 3" further down than I wanted to ๐Ÿ˜ณ fortunately it was only a 50quid fork...
