Does anyone know whether the new bump stop will work on a lefty max upper body, or if anybody has an old wrap around bumper they don't use?

No it didn't fit on my 29er so I wrapped the bumper around the body just above the clamp, stuck and zip tied it.
I couldn't get it to stick to the frame neither could Cannondale.

Hmmm interesting. Anyone got an old bump stop, the rubber tube one hanging about?

Long as surfaces are thoroughly cleaned before sticking no reason it wouldn't work. Hmm what random rubber objects could be used as a bumper?
