Anyone been yet? Their website doesn't seem to exist.
How was it? Do you pay to ride? Worth it for a morning?
Yes, good fun for a couple of hours. Its free.
Not been but everyone I know that's been enjoyed it and it's free. There's some trails in the woods as well as the jumpy stuff.
Good to see it busy the couple of times I've been. Used it to test / set up new bikes without getting filthy! Short loops with a bigger xc loop coming. The cafe is supposed to generate the income to keep it going so buy cake while you are there.
It’s free, for now. it’s okay, needs a lot more time to bed in, and some of the positioning of the trails is a little questionable (jumps on a trail going uphill...) but the pump and bmx track are a laugh, if it isn’t too windy.
loads of us going up tomorrow around 11 if anyone else fancies it...
Cool, I might pop over tomorrow morning en route to Stainburn.
I'll be on an old blue BFe, gizza wave.
As Tom said, for me, it's good what they've done but the main jump run just doesn't work, after the first few jumps anyway, the stuff in the woods is good but it's been there for years.
It's free to park up and everytime I've been it's been fairly busy, I take my son and he loves it, and theres plenty of little ones doing laps of the pump track with him.
The cafe is good, well the cake and coffee is, I haven't tried the food.
R.e ‘the stuff in the woods’, how much riding are you likely to get out of that? Is it easy enough to find and follow?
I called in for 5 minutes just before closing today to have a look at the place. It looks good, if a little short from what I saw up at the top of the Red and Blue trail. I’m just wondering if the stuff in the woods is worth setting aside more time for, say getting a warm up in on the new man made bits then off in to the woods with a quick go on the new section after.
