Lanzarote mountain biking

Most of the riding on the island is trail/gravel. There's not a lot (that I've found) that is steeper/rougher. There are a couple of trails heading south from Ermita de las Nieves (the church at the highpoint of the island). One is on the left of the track heading south as you leave the church car park. The other leaves the back of the car park (towards the cliffs). Might be some steeper stuff in the Papagayo hills in the SE of the island, but I think a lot of that is really rough. 

This map is a good starting place for discovering stuff. Some of the MTB trails are on it. Also available from sources other than A*azon.
