Any suggestions for a good campsite in the lakes close to some good riding? Ideally I want a site where the tents don't have to be pitched separately from the motorhome.

Try here, close to Whinlatter and lots of other stuff. I think they will let you pitch tents on the grass in the middle of the van area. I stayed there in May and it is a reasonable site walking distance from a pub as well.

Low Wray NT campsite we managed to tent up next to our small camper it was empty mind!

I've was thinking Sykeside, I've been there before though and wouldn't mind trying somewhere new.
