I really fancy having a go on a Unit.
Anyone know of any shops with a demo or rental bike I could try?

Or anyone have one they fancy loaning me (in 19-ish" size). I'll do a temporary swap for my belt-drive A if it helps ๐Ÿ™‚

Where are you? I'm in Leeds and have a 20 inch Unit you can have a ride on; if you bring your bike from me to use I've got some very local singletrack you can take it down

I've got a medium in the Wyre Forest, currently partly cannibalised for parts, but could be built up again with a Rohloff. Where are you ?

Cheers guys. I'm in Hexham, Northumberland.
I do get down to Leeds area occasionally as my family are dotted around that area, so something could be arranged Ben. Is it ok if I get in touch next time I'm down that way? mid-late July is a possibility thinking about it.

If my 08 was anything to go by, don't bother. 6lb frame and handled shite. Rig was way better.

Cynic-al does have a point about the 08 model which mine is; the 08 had a 74 degree headtube angle and the handling does leave alot to be desired compared to current designs, hence I've ordered a Highball.

That said the new unit has slackended off to a 71 degree on the 20 inch frame (70 degrees on the 19 inch) so probably handles likea different bike.
