I took some photo's this morning on the Black run descent.
I've embedded two here, and there's more at the link.
If anyone was riding there this morning, and they want an image contact my email (in profile).

Some good photos there, weather looks perfect too.
Thanks, weather was perfect today - quite warm, no rain.
3 or 4 events in and noone has thought of reducing the size of those ridiculous numbers boards. With a tail wind they'd almost act as a sail!
How was the timing this time?
timing was stuffed on the Darkside later in the afternoon - not sure how it went earlier... A good day though.
Denis, were you taking photos just on the black run? (I was doing the enduro).
Just on the black run
does anyone know of any other photographers? I was doing the enduro and was snapped by 2 or 3 people...
Also - the recent message on the website doesn't look like great news for those interested in their times (Which I assume is most people!)
You mean they f%$ked it up again?...who'd have thought it!!
I gave the first two events a go and enjoyed it but at both there were timing issues. I can't believe they still havn't sorted things out!
Can't believe they cocked up the timings yet again. ๐
Anyone know how they do the timings on the Enduro Avalanche races? They're stupidly popular so obviously they do something right.
I can't believe that the same organisers in charge of Bristol Bikefest etc can make such a cock-up time and time again.
The Avalanche Enduros are a more formal format, each rider has an allotted start time for each special stage and you're race number is swiped by a marshall at the end of the SS and the time worked out from there.
Avalanche enduro timing system still is no where near perfect, marshalls not giving correct count down and gaps end of stage swiping can be slow. should all be done on fixed posts.
Pretty certain that the Mash up is organised by totally different people to the Bristol Bikefest despite having many of the same sponsors.
The link below seems to agree since that's definitely not who does the Bikefest:
