I intend to convert my Kona Lava Dome (1997) to 1 x 10.
The bottom bracket is Shimano BB-LP26.
I'd welcome any advice for this winter project/diversion from not having enough money for a new bike...
cheers
Jim
if you are using anything below a 44t chainring you can use a superstar bb adaptor, I did on my 97 lava dome!

these look ok for the price too

I also had an fsa dh ring on there

34 tooth was fine for most stuff, apart from when I rode the torq rough ride, with a fair bit of big climbs
Maybe consider a narrow/wide racface one for better chain retention
Kimbers, cheers this is a start at least! So did you replace the BB too? What cranks, chainset and cassette did you buy?
You don't have to replace the bb, just remove the bb mount the guide and pop the bb back in but I imagine that new cranks and bb wouldn't b be a bad thing in which case I'd buy a deore ht 2 crankset (comes with bb) sell the chainrings on here and fit the new stuff but you'll need a bb tool, crank remover and ht2 bb tool as well
