My i900r has become stiff to shoft up/down and am away from my instructions for the moment. Can anbody show me a link to the instructions, else talk me through a quick service of it or anyone have an pics of one in bits?

With the post at full extension, and the collar unscrewed, have a good look at where the anodised shaft disappears inside the sleeve. Check there is no scratching through the gold anodising, particularly around the back of the shaft. I've seen a couple get badly grooved here.
Yup mine is pretty badly scratched there - also goes down without me pulling the lever sometimes. 🙁
Is it within warranty?
Mine too has got a couple of pretty deep scratches on the shaft..
And [i]yes[/i] I am still talking about my seatpost.. 🙄 😉

Hi, i finally gave my remote I900 a clean at the weekend. If the shaft has any scratches or gouges on it, they should be sanded out using minimum of 120 emery paper. remove the Knurled locking collar and gently prise the rubber seal away from it. This is where the maority of the dirt likes to hide.Spray the shaft with plenty of degreaser and cycle the shaft up and down (leave the saddle on at this stage) 10 to 15 times trying to get the degreaser right down in to the workings. remove the entire assembly from the bike making sure the shaft is fully extended. remove the locknut from the base of the shaft (hopefully the red retaining base unit will come with it. if not use a small screwdriver and a light hammer on the small holes to unscrew it. fill the shaft with degreaser. wash it all out and dry off with kitchen roll. Find a surface that you can use to put the edge of the bottom of the shaft on (corner of the kitchen table works well!!). put pressure on the saddle, press the release catch in and fully compress the shaft. this pushes the small shaft out of the base of the main shaft. now put as much teflon grease as you can lay your hands on around the small shaft and inside the base of the large shaft. Press the release catch and fully extend the main shaft.refit knurled locking ring on top shaft. replace the red retaining base unit and locking nut back on. clean off excess grease. place post back on frame. compress and extend a few times. remove again and clean off excess grease from the base. place back in frame. Replace the remote cable for a super smooth action. job done.
Surely you shouldn't have to sand out scratches on a nearly new seatpost?
