[Closed] Kids ride shotgun tow-rope on a dropper

Anybody had any horror stories using it with a dropper post?

Last week I got the shotgun seat for my 3 year old who absolutely loves it.
On the maiden voyage, I also took my eldest who's 6. She ran out of steam quickly and struggles on hills so I'm thinking about getting the tow-rope to allow us to go further.

It apparently hooks on to the nose of the saddle and my first thoughts that it may eventually affect the dropper.

I have no issues with my Tow-whee dragging a laughing, not-peddling 7 year old up fire roads - I mount it to the fixed part of the dropper (rather than the slidey bit) and tolerate a bit of wheel buzz from the strap if it goes slack.

Similar - no issues using the Trax tow rope thing attached to fixed part of my dropper. I'm lanky so no issues with the rope buzzing the tyre as all my frames are massive.

My thoughts were that for the small mileage I do towing a child, and how light they are compared to me, that it wouldn’t be a problem. So far, no issues!

Thread hijack but I could be in the market for one of these. Anyone got any recommendations for something good/good value?

@paulneenan76 - the silverline elasticated tow rope is a tenner on amazon and does the same thing, but a bit bulkier when packed up.

I have mine hooked to my saddle rail and no worries. I might not want to jerk a sprint standing up on it, but my bum keeps it fairly stable
