I've just bought some of these http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=31836 for my nearly 11 year old daughter to replace the std ones on her Islabike.

She currently rides using some old cheap trainers. I'd like to get her something a bit more grippy. We found some Adidas Response but Wiggle don't have any in stock and it's going to be a Christmas present.

Criteria are Size 4, preferably Pink (yes I know they won't stay that way), nice grippy sole. Had a look at Vans but couldn't find anything suitable.

Suggestions greatly received. £30 is about the max we want to spend as if they last a year we'll have done well.

Plastic pedals (without metal pins) are slippy no matter what, unless both pedals and shoes are dry.

Thanks both. TK Maxx is a bit difficult for us, cost us more to drive there 😉 Lots on the skate site thanks.

I know plastic pedals are slippier than metal pins, but I'm not buying V8s or something as I can just see here mum's face as she comes home lacerated in the shin 😉
