Saddle, seatpost and cranks?

Genesis appears to have thumbies, can't see what the OO has.

On One are coy about details at the moment - like the weight. Which matters for 6-10 year olds.

I'll weigh it on Monday, it's not heavy though.

Different forks, cranks, FSA headset, Rapidfire not thumbies.

There's quite a few of these kid's fatties on the market. Surely the extra weight is going to make these more of a novelty bike for all but the strongest 6/7/8 year olds? Anyone have any experience of younger kids actually riding these bikes for longer than 10 minutes?

My 6yo daughter is terrified of bumpy ground, she thinks she's going to fall off. These things might help 🙂

My daughter quite happily rode a heavy-ish bike for 4-5 miles before she got her Frog. She now rides 4-5 miles faster.

I've not yet met a kid who has refused to ride a bike because it was heavy. I know that she would bite my hand off if I offered her that Fatbike.

Depends on the kids fatty, good ones are aluminium, with drilled rims, light fatty tyres etc... not so good ones are steel with massive heavy and draggy rubber. The litrle on one and genesis aren't propper fat, they are using 2.5 maxis creepy crawler trials bike tyres, which are chunky and draggy as hell as its soft rubber. There are more players comming into the kids fat market though and you can get 24x 4.0 spesh ground controls which are ace.

Just ordered one (Black Friday deal was £233) in line green...

Saw a grom riding one at FOD at it looked to cool not to get one for my boys Xmas present...

He jus turned 6 in Oct..

It was between this or a tidy Ebay second hand Isla beinn 20...

When it turns up I'll weigh it and report back
