Hi all,
It's a bit of challenge keeping kids on decent bikes. I've usually found second hand Kona's to provide decent value.
Here's the latest reincarnation of my daughters bikes. They got to choose the colours and I did a complete rebuild from the bottom up the only new parts were chains, one BB,one headset and cabling. They pinched few decent parts of mine lying around the shed.

Has anyone else rebuilt bikes or done up hand-me-downs instead of forking out for new bikes?

Nice, I'm loving the look of those bikes.

My plan is to do this for Char's next bike. I've already got a lot of the bits. I should be able to get thr frame powder coated through work, but I'm not sure where to get the custom decals from. Any ideas?

I was able to design and make mine as I have access to the equipment. They are based on actual Kona logos but are one offs.
Depending on your bike though many are available through ebay.

My favorite bit on my girls bikes is the custom orange Rock Shox forks.

This what we started with.

Just look at that chain.

Nice work with the Lapierre "big yim".

This is one I did for myself a few years ago.

Just realised I can't join in as mine aren't resprayed.

My 4 year old's is raw though...
