well actually got it on sept 3rd,(but have just got back online).am absolutely loving it,the suspension works great. (have not used the propedal damping at all, even for road riding) even though i am unfit i can feel that the bike wants to go faster (just me holding it back).it's just a great bike. ๐ p.s sorry if i am the millionth person who has done this.
Love mine mate got the 2010 X2 as well..it's great cross country and as its so light makes the climb's a doddle. Took mine up Snowdon and down over the weekend..

Just got one myself. Not ridden it yet (first ride this Saturday), but liked my demo ride the other week.
Having come from a SRAM / Avid setup on my other bikes, I find the Shimano bits a bit cheap feeling, but thought it rode well enough on my demo. Looking forward to putting it through its paces.
What changes have people made to theirs?
Not got one myself, but the mrs has and x2 and I've ridden it a bit.
It's very impressive - nice and light and the suspension is very good considering it's only 100mm.
p.s. pixelmix - what?! Shimano cheap feeling compared to sram/avid?? I must be living on a different planet to you ๐
Not changed anything apart from the tyres as its coming up to winter the crossmark don't give much grip.
I'm not sure I know what you mean about the Shimano bits, but they work a treat and I haven't had any problems. Given it a good hammering as well!!
Guess I was just a bit spoilt with the X9/X0 bits that came on my old Epic. The XT barrel adjusters etc just felt a bit cheaper. Hoping the XT brakes rub a bit less than Avids though.
I've stuck on my Charge saddle as I'm used to it, and it is also marginally lighter than the stock one. Tyres are about the only thing I can see me changing in the short term. Will wear the Crossmarks down then stick on my usual Nobby Nic / Racing Ralph setup. If I keep it for a few years I'll probably go 2x10, but I'm in no rush to do that.
Just got in from 20 miles round the forest on mine - 2009 with 100/130 Revs, wide bars, short stem - just a top, top bike. I love it! ๐
Love my X4 - transfered a load of parts from my carbon XTC.
It's such a versatile bike. I can descend better on my Anthem X than I can on my 6" travel bike.
Yes, brilliant bike. I've got an X3. Changed the saddle to a Fizik Gobi for long days out (the standard spec was fine for 1-2 hrs).
Very quick bike.
For very, very quick I swap the standard (heavyish) wheels for a pair of Cobalts / 1.8 TrailBlasters that hang in the garage. Rode to work this week with the TrailBlasters, but it's getting a bit slippy for that set up now!!!
I have had an Anthem X1 since January 09. I think it is an excellent bike. Amazing on the climbs and handles most descents easily.
Mines has been upgraded a bit - Stan Olympic on Hope Pro 2 wheels, Bonty Carbon flat bars, Deus XC SL stem, Deus XC cranks, XTR spds, Fizik saddle, foam grips, XO grip shift and rear mech. By far my fave bike.
