Been really busy lately renovating houses. In fact i've lost seven months of the year to this hell, (weirdly, i've started to enjoy it!).

Still got out lots of Wed nights but not on my days off.

Over the last few years i have forgotten the pleasure to be gained from just 'going for a ride'. I'd got to the point where i had to challenge/scare myself a little to feel like i'd had a good ride...

On Sunday by dinnertime i had run out of excuses and had no choice but to get out for a ride.

Everything is covered in ice/snow so most of my techy treats are a no go. With my choices limited i rode all the 'boring' bridleways and climbed back up to home on the road! The skies were bright blue and most of the snow was rideable and it was hard to wipe the silly smile off my face. Plus not one person could help saying hello!

Think i've rediscovered the joy of 'just riding my bike'.. 8)

Now all i need to do is stop stopping and building new features while i'm out.

I wasted most of yesterday doing jobs around the house to earn brownie points, I finally went out for a ride at around 4pm only to find that, although it had been cold and overcast all day at the foot of the Quantocks the top of the hills where poking up through the clouds and had been in brilliant sunshine all day. By the time I got up there the sun had already set and what with the random patches of black ice and rapidly falling temperatures on the trails I thought it was safer to return home after only a few miles. ๐Ÿ™„

Decided this week to ride as much as possible. Since the snow wrecked the earlier part of the year, a chest infection then setting in, holidays, looking after grand kids and breaking my hand I have not done a lot of riding this year.

scotabroad is also at a loose end atm so we braved a -7 start and got out yesterday.

Hope to get out later after a getting some housework done, night riding on Thurs and intend getting out most days till work beckons on SAT/Sun. ๐Ÿ˜€

'Just going for a ride ' doesn't work on my better half. She has a curious psychological trait which means if I say 'IAJGFAR' she suddenly finds all kinds of jobs which must be done THAT ACTUAL MINUTE! However if I say 'I am doing an event, I'll be gone all weekend she says OK see you Sunday night. I can't understand it! Needless to sya I do a lot of events.

Ay up Pook

We have been adding flow to the Descent Line and brashing old trail in Norwood.

Presumably it's icy at the mo..

How about you email Cheeky and ask what happened to all your hard work? ๐Ÿ™„
