Depends on your budget and what more you want really?

I think it's a great light but as I already have a Trout Mini, it added more reach, where the mini now falters (it had previously bolstered a P7 the season before), to what was already a lot of light.
A friend rides with 'just' one of these XML's, he only complains about needing more light when he's infront of another rider with a pair of lights.

First ride with mine last week on the helmet. Going to try it on the bars this week(Thurs)on the bars with my Fenix on the helmet.
Found it difficult to find a single position where I was comfy with the beam, lots of trees, twisty singletrack and climbing/descending and think I need a bit of either near or far fill in ❓

I just got one of smudge's xml's and it is a great companion to my mj-872 on the bars. There is plenty of flood from the mj and xml compliments it well with loads of reach. Depending on budget, a great combo 🙂

Not an issue. Stuffed battery into shirt pocket and off I went 😆 Mate @ work has just ordered £30 job from Hong Kong so will be able to compare the "cheap" version soon. Looking at pics the battery pack is certainly not as well protected and the connections may not be as waterproof

Stoner - the preferred use of numbers is in the numerical form, following ten.
