Saw a brand new Carrera Kraken frame on eBay for £25, which was reason enough to put together a new bike for 10-year-old (today) wheelz junior.

All parts sourced from eBay/Classifieds/Spares box, so cost me less than £150 to put together.

The eldest offspring was very pleased with it - mainly because it looks brand new.

I've now bought an identical frame off the same eBay seller and will be building it up with 24" wheels and a 150mm crankset for my 8-year-old daughter.

No, I had the forks in the spares box. The steerer got dented at the top, so I had to cut it down and then it was too short to fit any of my bikes. Fits this nicely though.
