We're starting our own trail building volunteer group here at Ae so if your up for doing a bit of manual work on improving the trails here then stick your name on the growing list. It's going to be done in conjunction with FCS so it's all official and will start hopefully this month (October 2009).
We're looking at sorting out some sections of current trails and we're pushing for some new lines (news to follow, stay tuned).
It's likely to be on Saturday mornings with lunch included and plenty time afterwards for riding. If anyone has any plant type tickets ie digger drivers let us know although the bulk of the work will be good old fashioned shovel and wheel barrow manual graft!!
We're going to make Ae the number one place to ride ... so do your bit and become an Ae Trail Demon!
We figured fairies and angels weren't tough enough to build trails at Ae, so Demons it is!!
Good luck from Yorkshire, hopefully their a bit more motivated up there.
I've ridden Ae a couple of times 2 or 3 years ago and really enjoyed. I don't think it needs much more than a bit of love to turn it into a great place.
Cheers
It is just such a wild place come winter tho
Not aware of current plans but know what I would like to do
If they do any mid week work Trekster i would be happy to take time out to help. My weekends are taken with running the kids football now ๐
Feel like a hypocrit now cos i have complained about it enough. I could organise a 'demo' of a big van for them FOC if that helps to move any gear about???
Will have a word Hobo. Sure there are a few of us who could do weekdays rather than weekends. Probably come down to "supervision" issues tho.

Isn't that good? I mean manicured trails are a bit miserable, at least you need a grizzly trail in the winter to take your mind off the snow!
ae in the snow!

Meant to build/work on trails.
That`s the bit some riders fail to appreciate imho ๐ฟ
