Evening all,
I hired a bike and helmet whilst on holiday and the helmet, an IXS Trail RS Evo (as it said on the label inside) was really good and better than the tired Mavic Mushroom I use at home.
So thinking to buy one of those but a bit confused because I also see IXS Trail Evo for sale. Are they the same or does the RS bit mean it is different (Richie Schley?) or are they the same helmet? Even the IXS website only has the IXS Trail Evo.
And whilst you are reading this any other alternative <£100 helmet I should consider in a similar vein?
Don't know about any differences, but the Trail Evo is the comfiest helmet I've had. I had a big off last year and put a little crack in one and ordered a new identical one the next day. Blue is the fastest colour.
RS is the older model, Evo replaced it.
They're basically the same fit, I find them incredibly comfy.
Only thing I found that was as comfy is a POC Tectal, and a non MIPS TLD A1.
Ah great, that is nice and simple, I can't see much visual difference so happy with the Evo. Will get one ordered.
