brilliant car, great choice.
That's not an A6 though
I have to say it drives waaaay better than I thought it would. Have to wait until Feb for delivery but the no VAT deal was too good to pass up.
I bought the same in march. Great value and fast - especially with the remap;)
I've been told the remap is worth doing. Where did you get it done and did it make much difference to mpg and insurance?
Shark performance did my map (on a petrol btw). It's one that I can swap back myself. Not available on all versions of the diesel though. But ben @shark is very knowledgeable and sure he'll have options.
Under normal driving mpg improved, but the extra oomph means it's too tempting so actually mpg is worse! I guess you don't get owt for nowt.
Insurance was probably 75 quid more, but be careful most big name companies only offer insurance on tensors up to 11% power increase which isn't sufficient! Specialists like chris knott up trumps for us.
Great car but watch the DPF.... ours just went on our 2007 Scout. Would have cost 1.8K to replace, but thankfully covered under warranty.
Looks good! Enjoy!
whats the dpf ? 😯
Diesel particulate filter.
ahh... how much. 😯
I love my VRS - VAT free in 2009, Limited Edition old shape body with CR engine and new models dash, pimped up to get rid of the old bodyshell basically and flogged off cheap. bargaintastic. 😀
Great cars but I must admit, I wouldn't have a normal Skoda....the VRS bit somehow covers the shame up.
I know 5 people with VRS's and they all love them.
ahh... how much.
'tis true.... part is £1400 alone (contains a lot of exotic metal apparently) and took the tech 9 hours to get the old one off and new one fitted.
Went to look at these today, equally attracted by the no VAT offer (and the car in general) but was told 4-5 months for delivery 😯
Kinda rules out a new one for me, but hope you enjoy yours!
Is it worth more than your bike(s)?
No
