Following on from the 'Who's doing the PdS thread' I can see there's lots of excited riders (me certainly included) who are bursting with joy/terror, and as such have done things to the bikes that people may think are pointless ("whatever, in your face...."), or just genius!

So, as I'm fit to burst and a bit bored, and charging the camera etc etc I put my Meta through a photoshoot. She's a sexy beasty anyway, but with a new pair of heels and a spot of lippy on the uppy-downy seatpost, I think she's a beaut!

So, show us the bike you'll be taking to the Pds/Alps trip this summer, and we can all laugh as they come back in mangled heaps as we wish we took a rigid with cantilevers, or a WC DH quality steed.....

Rear light = Alps fail. ๐Ÿ˜›

Crappy phone pic of mine - put on a bash, wide bars, short stem, flat pedals - blackspire stinger and a ust high roller on the back to go on soon.

You raise a point on the rear light! I seen to get through about 2 per year by 'just losing them' on the trails, but sometimes when I'm out dogging late, it's nice to be seen on the way back....

Maybe be useful for some high altitude alpine dogging?

Nice bike - I do like Metas, nearly bought one. Persuaded my mate to get one - his is bright green. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Off to Alpe d'Huez/Megavalanche in exactly two weeks from now - getting very nervous/excited!

new fat DMR saddle, emergency replacement cranks I bought on Scotland trip to replace crank bust up there at end of May now have been machined to take a granny next to middle and bash, plus replaced damaged bars plus swapped in a bigger fork plus slim jims as V8s had gone. fitted today with a bit of help and fatter DH tyres just to go on before trip next week. might even get a better clean than the dry brush down if there's time

3-4 lbs alps weight gain - alpified

@ grumm
cable routing looks fairly tight under your bb, maybe the reason your going through as many cables??? just a thought. mine has quite a large loop underneath

Interesting - I thought tighter would be better as less likely to get hit, but maybe you're right.
