Yup, from now until it arrives I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for Friday Fails on a certain Canadian Website.
I don't know what it is.
Maybe the feeling of superiority when a rider does something stupid or tries something clearly way beyond their ability.
Maybe it's that sick voyeurism of looking at monster crashes but mainly in my case it's thinking "Lordy, glad that wasn't me" as someone gets taken out by something they would normally sail through.
Anyone else got weekly regulars that help you record the passage of time, even during lockdown?
Friday Fails and XKCD three times a week are my new weekend.
I do like Friday Fails, It gives me an opportunity to critique other rides whilst they do stuff I don't have the balls / ability to do myself. My non-MTB riding Wife especially enjoys me telling her what they've done wrong, and what they could have done right. ha ha.
I'm looking forward to Sunday, there's a Binky coming, I'm interested to see how they do a socially distant Binky.
....for he latest Seth's Bike Hacks to watch with my lunch....yep
...to open a beer? No.
Yes, me and Mrs Ready look forward to Friday Fails - and same as P-Jay, we often discuss what went wrong and how it should have been done. Even though we wouldn't hit half of the stuff!
SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!!!! Really?
Made my day that.
I don't dig fail videos as I dwell on if I might replicate them
Yep always watch Friday Fails with the first G&T of the weekend.
Good job it's not on in a morning now I'm at home a lot more. 🥂
This happened near to me this week to keep you going
Ah, to be young and invincible again.
I always forget to watch this so have a ton to catch up on. That kid (?) near the end, oooh.
I have to admit I do like watching them and like many above dont have the nerve to do much of the things they fail at
I love it but I'm always impressed by their balls over their ability.
I reckon I'm better at jumping than many, but wouldn't his the things they do. Like that one above, he may have binned it but damn he went for it in a massive way, kudos for the attempt!
More of my life taken up with watch YT vids, thank you
but there is some great stuff there
Friday Fails and XKCD three times a week are my new weekend.
I love xkcd, it’s been a constant companion for years. Randall seems much more laid back now, the comics used to update at midnight to the second! The xk forum used to race to post it first - before they had their Great Hack
Sat slaving away at the coaltypeface I suddenly realised I hadn't watched Friday's Fails.
Monday just got a lot brighter.
There's also The Register's Who Me? on a Monday plus On Call for a Friday to look forward to. Tales of professional incompetence on Monday and User incompetence on a Friday.
Ooh. Sounds interesting.
The Register’s Who Me? on a Monday plus On Call for a Friday
That is excellent. So much to checkout.
