My front tyre has a strange wobble in it. When you spin the wheel round there is a rather large kink in the tyre that's not down to it being fitted incorrectly (i've put it on about three times now).
Anyway is this something to worry about? Will this wobble throw me off the bike when i'm cornering at speed and into a tree? Does anyone have a remedy?
Tyres are Panaracer Cinder 2.25 with 717 rims btw.
Is the rim/wheel definetly straight and true?
If the tyres are new they could take a day to settle if just fitted and wonky.
If they don't then get an exchange.
Is it a tubeless ready tyre? They're tacky around the bead and might take a bit more pressure to seat them properly.
Yeah I'd try a bit of washing up liquid on the bead and pumping them up as hard as you dare to get them to seat propperly
Sometimes you do get a tyre that's like that- it can be seated perfectly and still have it. Take the wheel back to the shop, and if they can't get it to seat, get it swapped. Seen in on Specialized, Tioga and Bontrager tyres and see no reason why it couldn't happen to any brand.
