[Closed] Is there (or should we start) a riding guiding bank, or panel...?

You know sometimes when you are away from home and you only have one day to get a decent ride in?

I always buy a map and try to concoct a route, but you would get a much better ride, without stopping to map read, if you could hook up with some locals who could share their route knowledge.

Does anyone think this a good idea, and how could we do it? A sticky thread with location and invite to pm? What do you think?

Good idea. Showed some Glasgow lads`n lasses round my local yesterday and gave some advice to a newbie to my area on proper off piste rides.
Know a few routes around the Lakes and Howgills as well.

I hadn't thought about qualifications or owt like that...

Anyway, anyone coming to Herts area is welcome to get in touch, I'm female and not as fast as the fast boys, but can still lead a reasonable ride.
