I just shortened my chain since I just fit an 11-28 on my road bike. Did I shorten it too much or does this look ok?

a bit too short, probably, but as long as you don't go big/big all the time (which some would say is bad practice) you'll be okay

a bit short, my wifes 105 mech is at about 45 deg on a 32 tooth cassette

Doh. New chain time, or just try and avoid those gears?
