it'll be fine - fox recommend it to keep the seals lubed up.
can lead to problems if you have air in your front brake as it finds it's way top he caliper, though.

I'd imagine the stresses arising from hanging 25lb of frame, back wheel etc from front wheel, fork, headset etc are much less than those from a fat lad - 200lb - sat on the saddle and just riding around let alone drops and jumps from riding off road

have 3 bikes ( one 40lb dh bike) hanging from front wheels. been there 2 years now and no problems.
