OK, been working hard and think I deserve some new shiny.

Made up my mind on a Cotic rocket. Moving parts over from a Canyon Nerve AM.

Is it crazy to buy a new FS frame when it's unlikely to be dry again for 6 months?

I know I'm in the wrong place for sane advice but c'mon, whaddaya reckon?

Don't know where you live but the only dry 2 weeks riding I got this year was in the Alps. Everything else was a varying degree of swamp like symptoms...

It's only a set of bearings ๐Ÿ™‚

Its been a damn site dryer here for the last two weeks than it has been all 'summer' . Get it bought, and go and get it muddy, you big jessie ๐Ÿ˜€

a 'winter bike' is for [s]tarts[/s] blokes dreaming up excuses to smuggle another bike into the house, under the radar

a) are you suggesting that summer is any drier than winter?

b) my FS is 5 years old and has been ridden year round without needing a single bearing change in all that time (just a few shock bushings at a few pence each).

No

Bought an ASR5 on Saturday

I'm so pleased about it that I'm just looking for excuses to tell people, and this thread was ideal ๐Ÿ˜€

I christened my Anthem the other week on it's first ride, was pissing it down and it came back caked in mud. A good time was had!

Cheaper now than in the Spring when everyone is buying shiny new bikes, surely?

ease your conscience by buying a spare set of bearings up front?
