Been hitting google hard for an answer to this one and got nowhere.
Anyone know if a front mtb mech will work with an 11 speed road shifter, running a 50T outer road chain ring (105 5800 11 speed cranks)?
Or, if an 11 speed XT Front Mech, will work with a 10 speed road shifter?

Ive used an XT front double with a 105 shifter ok.

I've found I can get a 46 / 48T outer chain ring, if that helps with the mech situation. So it's down to cable pull between 11 speed MTB and 11 speed Road front mechs (i think)?
