Sorry about this, but struggling to come up with a fair price for a bike I recently built up to lend to a mate, which I now need to shift. I don't really want to go through the hassle of splitting it down to sell as parts.
Spec as follows:
Large Boardman Pro hardtail frame - immaculate, 2009
Fox f120 rlc fork. 2008, generally good condition, but with a tiny nick in the non-damping side stanchion
DT 420 sl wheels (off a 2008 stumpy fsr)
SRAM x5 shifters, x9 rear and x5 front mechs
Fsa seatpost
Charge spoon saddle
Specialized xc riser bars and xc lock on grips
Hayes Stroker Ryde brakes
Deore crank
Thomson stem
520 spds
New shimano cassette and chain
Everything is in good condition, with the odd bit of rub and scratching here and there as you'd expect from used components. What do you reckon is a reasonable price to sell it as a complete bike?
Thanks in advance.
if you know it's irratating, why ask?
275?
well a new one on C2W would be between 500 and 650 depending on tax band, and it would have a better spec, so I'd say £250 - £300 tops
Fair play. Looks like the laborious bits route it's got to be then. Thanks for your time guys.
It does go to show you can get an excellent bike for next to sod-all if you're not too snoby about it. I took it to france with me last week instead of my Soda and it rode really well. I'd be really tempted to keep it if I had somewhere to store it.
Jebus. Ignore me I was kidding.
I'm glad you said that Al. I thought you'd pitched a bit low, but then Iainc agreed, and I began to wish I hadn't asked ( which probably served me right).
bol - I'd be surprised if you got more than 300 as a full bike. Like you say, splitting is the way to go
I'm interested in the forks. email in profile
Interested in the x9 rear email in profile (I think)
