Hello STW,

I have just got an iphone and just wondered what Apps people recommend to download. Anything really which I should check out for riding or killing time.

Cheers,

Lux - If you like the table game Risk you will love this. There is a free version with one map, the payed version has more.
MultiConvert - Converts anything I can think of
Currency - If you buy a lot of stuff from foreign web shops...
Clinometer (costs money) - If you want to measure stuff like a bikes head angle or how straight some surface is

I just installed Everytrail and GPS LTE which I believe can record gps data for a bike ride and them map it out in google maps / give statistics on the ride (elevation, speed, destination etc). Did not have a chance to test them yet.

Other fairly nice games:
Geared, Drawrace, Flightcontrol (all cost money)

My kid likes these games:
Jelly Car, PapiJump, PapiMissile, Topple, AlpineCrawler

The flixster one was good if you like movies...

They just need to make one that means the battery will last more than 45 seconds!

Got rid of my iphone because of the terrible battery life.

don't spend money on them

The vast majority of apps downloaded from the App Store are in use by less than 5% of users after one month has passed since the download, according to an analytics firm that is also shedding light on other aspects of the business.

'less than 5%'
ack. Is there an 'app' to teach people when to use 'less' and when to use 'fewer'?

'less than 5%'

I don't agree that it's wrong here. While it's fewer people that it's referring to, it's less of a percentage which isn't discrete unit based measure....

Anyway, some apps are worth paying for (Flight control and Photo Genius of the two I listed which I use lots), most aren't.

Quite. I once spent 59p on a Mars Bar that was no longer in use by me a month after purchase. I still regret it to this day.

because it comes with a piece of software that links you to a vast catalog of cracked apps, which you can download for free. Something like install0us.

So your suggestion is that no more questions are allowed on STW?

Genius.
