I like it. The width might just make a difference - make you look wider

Ooooo - I quite like that. 'Indicators' may be overkill.....

It's one of those "every little helps" scenarios, and at £19.99 at my LBS - less at somewhere like Wiggle it's the sort of price to make you think "worth a go". Also a nice stocking filler for the cyclist who has everything.

Got em!Seemed like a bit of a novelty at first ,especially the 'indicators' although if you put both on they are hazard warning lights!Come to think of it that would'nt be a bad idea for most trailcentre jockeys I come across.Anyhoo, was'nt until I saw someone coming towards me with some I realized how much easier it makes judging distance/speed of approach.Bonza.

I saw a chap with a pair of these the other night in Edinburgh (possibly got them from The Bike Chain). As a pedestrian, they seemed pretty visible from the front. I have often thought that small handlebar mounted lights (like the little knog ones etc) are useless from the side on drop bar bikes as they get obscured by the hoods, so this is a good idea.

I'm getting some of those!

Funnily enough a random pedestrian lady complimented me on my light this morning. "Nice bright light" She said.

Ooh, I've found a great place to buy Tacx Lumos -
Bike Tart's Ebay shop - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tacx-Lumos-Bar-End-LED-Set-/250922961125?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Cycling_Bike_Lights&hash=item3a6c2c88e5#ht_1080wt_1163

Er, your hands are blocking the light when in the drops, no?

I had some of those Trek Beacons for drop bars in the ends of my flat bar commuter bike, for the purpose of increased side visibility. If you don't use a dedicated front bike light, but prefer a torch or something brignt, they often lack this.

lumos user here!

they're well made, and i haven't been run-over since i started using them.

but the 'indicators' are a bit too tricky to actually use in practise.

not if your hands are at the front of the drops - as if for braking.

but maybe if your hands are at the bottom of the drops - as if for sprinting...?

Webbs of Warmley have them in stock for the Bristolites. The little promo screen on the merchandise rack is the most suggestive light advert ever! They are really effective lights and those using them already are well pleased.

I bought something similar from dealextreme and they were rubbish, batteries went flat really quickly, they rattled anoyingly and they weren't that bright. If they work better in all those areas I'd buy something similar.

I quite like the look of these, I've thought it was a good place for lights after getting some Bontrager tape with reflective plugs. The only thing that erks me is the steal-ability of them.

How easy are they to remove?

Brighton is awful for parts pinching 👿

I picked some up from

Mrs Bike Chain
😆 last night and the weather was so minging this morning they were on for the commute in to work. I can't see me ever using the indicator function but otherwise they seem good and well made.

Herman Shake - I was thinking about that too; the light & battery section is screwed into the 'plug' section that has been tightened with an allen key. You could unscrew the light part and take it with you without having to take out the plug part which would be as quick and easy as taking any other light off.

Are they obviously noticeable when on the bike which is locked up with lots of others?

Not that I have that problem, the bike never gets locked up anywhere I can't see it.

they unscrew easily.

- so just take 'em with you if you're worried about them getting nicked.

(just like any light)

The light unit screws into a sleeve - which lives on the bike. 4 turns and they're out.
