Loads of info on the main hub body but is there anything for the freehub body. Can find nothing from Hope. Strange as the bearing packs include the freehub ones as well.
Seems bizarre that they sell tools for the others but not the freehub? Would rather not use a socket if I can do it properly although I appreciate drifting then out and then bashing them in is possible.
that would be the video where he brushes over the bearings from the freehub. ๐
"just knock them out" "just reasemble"
why have all the tools for the hub but then leave you to bodge the freehub?
The freehub is not any harder really. I think one of the drifts fitted it too. Just bash them out. Just remember to put the big spacer that fits inbetween the freehub bearings back in when you put the new ones back in! Bearings in the freezer definitely helps to get the new ones in too.
Cheers. I've ordered the stuff and I'll have a go. I can always go to a shop if I get stuck.
This any good to you?

Nope they don't sell free hub drifters but sockets are OK to use - IIRC they suggest the old ones can just be bashed out any old way and then the new ones pushed in by hand (never managed that myself)
You don't really need a drift because you are not trying to avoid damaging the bearing. IIRC I just used a small metal bar to knock them out from the other side
You can damage them replacing them though captain?

I bought the pukka Hope kit with all the drifts etc for putting them and the seals back in. Just making the point that you don't need something special to get them out
