probably the wrong forum, but what are the easiest DH runs at inners and are they suitable for beginners? are there massive drops, gap jumps that you have to make or are there obvious chicken runs? thinking of tackling this on my 5'' travel bike with my mates and am a bit concerned i may die. thanks in advance

Make or break is the easiest run. The rest of them are all rideable but have some steep bits, the drop offs have chicken runs. Have a look on youtube as there is plenty of helmet cam footage of the runs.

the fire roads, but be careful! 😉

seriously tho, just ride at a pace that you're comfortable with, walking a track helps massively when starting out DH riding, especially if you can do it with someone who can help you choose lines.

IMO there's nothing more difficult to riding DH than XC, it's riding it fast that's difficult (for both)

<EDIT> Jedi, what days are you free to ride when you're up?

What GW said (Except for the last bit 😀 )

Just take your time and look at stuff first. Make or break followed by Matador if you go round the drops and doubles like me.

From memory - Make or Brake is fast and jumpy (but mostly rollers??) Than finishes off on Caddon Bank, which is teh XC route anyway.

Matador has some big hits on.

Gold and Cresta runs have no big stunts but are just steep and rooty.

5" bike and a positive attitude will be fine. 🙂
