I use an Osprey Talon 20 for big days out. More than enough room for a 3 litre reservoir, food, tools, clothing, first aid kit etc, and very, very comfortable on the bike

Do you really need / want to carry that much stuff?

I generally find I end up packing stuff but never use 80% of it, even on big rides.

I find its better to stock up along the way.

What you got in mind, I have some big loops planned for the peak too.

If blower is guiding their are prerequisites that involve carrying certain kit tho

Was there a thread on this earlier that disappeared? If so then I'd recommended a Dakine Apex, very big and nicely organised. Have a few issues with the bladder bite valve but other than that perfect. I wrote a quick review of it on my site if you're intrested in my thoughts on it.

There is also Camelbak The Don but that also has a helmet carrier which migh not appeal to you as much, however you can get it for less than £50 if you shop around.
