Has anyone tried 650B Plus on their 29er Inbred? Ive got Chunky Monkeys on there at the mo which seem to come up big for a 2.4 and have around 10mm clearance, so on paper a 2.8 should squeeze in but before I go all spendy just wondered if anyone has tried it.
I have the SS 29er Inbred.
A 2.4'' Ardent in the back of mine on a Flow rim is tight.
My 2.8'' WTB TB on a Hugo rim does not fit.
A 2.8'' on a 40mm rim might fit.
That said if yours is geared the placement of your wheel may be further back than on my SS.
If you could borrow a wheel to try I'd say go for it.
Buy new ...... less so.
I ran one before I bought my SIR.9
I can't recall clearance being that tight, certainly on par with my Niner, & that runs a 2.8 Trailblazer on a Dually with no problems.
Thanks for replies. My local shop has a couple of demo plus bikes in. Might pop in next weekend and see if they will lend me a wheel for a few moments.
