Had an appointment in Bridgwater this morning, forecast didn't look promising but I charged the EBike and put it in the car anyway. Left the clinic it had stopped raining so nearest Quantocks car park is 20 minutes away.Started heading there and the dividing line between half decent and crap weather started to appear.

By the time I got there the temperature had dropped 5 degrees, low cloud , rain getting worse and a cold wind .Hung on   for 20 minutes, it didn't improve if anything it got worse , rain was forecast to get heavier so I thought I can't be assed with this and headed home . I know from experience that riding down there in those conditions is just grim .

Now I'm home I'm thinking should have got on with it 🙄🙄🙄Just had a guts full of grim weather since it seems like forever 😔😔😔😔

Feel free to rip the p@@@ that'll make me feel better 🙄

If I'm out, I'll generally stay out.

If it's raining before I head out, that takes some convincing sometimes.

Best thing I've bought recently - and kept me riding through a very miserable winter, is a Leatt Hydrodry Monosuit. Perfect for the ebike.

But seeing as you came here expecting it - ya bloody lightweight, man up 😉

I showed my wife The Rules, and now she helpfully reminds me that I’ll be “a total badarse” if I go out in mild drizzle.

She might mean it ironically but I’ve decided not to ask.

There can't be many lightweights on here, at least judging from the occasional photo that posted up.

At least we know beer bellies are still a thing.

Riding a bike is supposed to be fun, if it isn't fun then there is no shame in knocking it on the head and doing something else.

I sat at a garage sheltering from a storm for a whole 45mins on Sunday, set off as it dried up then it decided to piss it down again - should have just kept going in the first place 🤬

After months of dull dank wet weather my inclination to do yet another similar ride was zero, I did a 30 mile ride around the lanes near me yesterday and half of that was in a soul destroying , mind numbing headwind which was nice 🤔🙄

I keep telling myself better weather is on the way 😔😔😔
