It must be time for the Fleuss tyre to be reinvented.
Surely this could be made into a good tubeless setup.

(Not the wedge bit, but the flap instead of a tube and rim tape.)

where's the breaking surface on that rim or was it fixed wheel only?

Old style pull rod ย brakes operated on the inside of the rim,
