it was going on the 29er, but i know how hamfistedly i ride it, so it's going on the road bike and the roadbike one on the off roader

i have one - it's been fine. and i'm a serial seatpost snapper!
I have one on my carbon framed xc bike. Holding up beautifully.
I had one on my DH bike a few years back with no issues - I was gutted they didn't make one small enough for my XC bike!
Drill it.
