Made the mistake of showing these to the kids and now they want one. It's not for Xmas, but does anyone know if they're available anymore? No stock anywhere that I've seen. Or are there any other colour variations similar to these I might have missed?

Thanks

Leisure Lakes had some in a year ago, but it appears they have sold out, but one on ebay here:

Just mind the covering is fabric, doesn't handle mud well! (sad owner of a rather grubby geometric one like the second pic above)

@13thfloormonk you definitely ain't kidding! I've got a white/snow camo spoon. Well, it used to be. Kind of brown-ish now. Still my favourite saddle though.

Give Unit Cycles in Cornwall a call/FB DM as they may still have the top one in stock.

Edit: or might have been the diamond shape multicolour design...can't remember which one they had now!

Thanks for the suggestions, will look into them. I'm now watching that one on ebay but think it's going to go too high. I'll message unit cycles too in the hope they have one.

Gnusmas its incredibly easy to cover a saddle. Get them to pock the patterns and wap it on!

Purple lizard skin its a bit much in my experience though.

It's a generic design. I'm sure there's at least two other brands that sell them in various colours.

Google for charge spoon ltd and you'll find a few dotted about.

I got this one cheap from wiggle earlier this year:

Matches the bike, very comfy, does look a bit grey after a few muddy rides...

I have a bright pink Charge Plug with full mudguards, so in *theory* could probably get away with this one...

Gnusmas - if it helps I'd part with mine, was used on the gravel bike but was getting muddy too often so I took it off, cleaned it up and have been wondering what to do with it since!

@13thfloormonk if you're not using it and willing to part with it, I'd definitely be interested. How much you looking for?

I have the geometric and can confirm they do not handle mud well and discolour easily, but it's a comfortable saddle.

£20 posted? (sorry, just got stung posting a saddle to someone yesterday, we binned all the packaging materials I had been hoarding so it was £6 all in to post...)

It looks good but it wouldn't pass as new, if that matters, and obviously as you can see above it isn't as blue as the marketing shots (they're all unique I think).

Could post first class tomorrow but not sure if that's enough time for Xmas...

Yeah Gusset R and Madison Flux, but I don't think the Madison one comes in any wild fabric. The tartan and leopard Gusset's still seem to be available. I have the tartan one, it stayed in my shed for a couple of years until I bought a bike to match it!

OK, so it didn't actually match, but it was a matt black with red highlights PlanetX. 'Went' with it probably a better description. It's on a white road bike now, which is a rubbish colour for bike, especially one used for commuting at this time of year.

@13thfloormonk I showed the kids and in their words 'it's a bit too orangey' lol. I think they would have loved it if it was more blue or purple like the stock photo above. Thanks for the offer though, and sorry.

Not at all Gnusmas, to be honest I was disappointed when it arrived, I found it a bit too orangey and not blue or purple enough 😀

I'll keep it as a special summer only saddle, it does sort of go with my all blue bike.

I'd say its definitely road bike only for the canvas Spoons. Love my urban camo one, with matching(ish) bar tape 🙂

I bought it at the start of lockdown and there seemed to be plenty of stock of all the mad designs then.

Certini Bristol have a wildly coloured Spoon in stock, I saw it with my own eyes today when being shown £85 Phenoms by a salesman in there after explaining I didn’t want to spend much on a saddle...
if it was black I would have bought it, but it seems the only black mtb saddles in there appear to require monthly payments in 0% finance if you’re shopping on a budget :/

If we're resurrecting this one, has anyone else found there's a bit of creaking from the spoon's rails/shell after a few miles, or is it just my bulky arse?

It could be something else but it's definitely in the bum supporting load path, and seems to correlate with pedalling weight shift, the creak vanishes when stood up pedalling, and the same seatstay/clamp was fine with the previous saddle.

I thought I'd solved it by adding some oil where the rails mount to the shell, but it was back after a handful of miles...

Had one of the gusset saddles and it creaked, bit of dry lube sprayed where saddle meets rails solved it for a bit.

Gusset one creaked like mad for me. Would regularly lube it as per akira but kept returning. Trying a Fabric Spoon now - comfier and no creak yet.
