Anyone got one? Thoughts? Looking for something to replace my 8 year old Trek Fuel EX, 120mm-ish travel...

Got one, brilliant all rounder. There was a review on here that summed it up pretty well. Probably best suited for wide open trails that the super tight stuff. Having said that its done everything with no complaint, from uplift to towing my 18 month year old around the Forest of Dean.

Cheers! Reach seems quite short compared to, for example, the new Trek Fuel EX...I guess you've not found that an issue?

I've a Ripley version 2 OG so not LS, though with a -1.5 anglesey the number s are not far off except for a shorter reach. Its a medium and I'm 5'9-5'10 and guys in the bike shop say it looks to fit me spot on when they've seen me out on the trails. Awesome bike, had it for three years now and still wouldn't sell it except maybe for a LS or Ripmo. Great at trail centres (live in Wales so NyA, Coedy and climachX are my locals) and off piste study - think of Dyfi, Myherin etc steep slidey, slatey trails and its not holding me back, more the other way round. Also good for events like Dyfi Enduro and Coedy Enduro - podium in my age class (old gits) :),

I also demo'd a Trek EX9 and liked it, but also knew I preferred the DW link (own a 2008 Mojo SL) and wanted the Ibis carbon wide rims. Still makes me smile overtime i sit on it đŸ™‚

I sized up a bit. I've got the v2 XL frame with a 50mm stem and I'm 6ft. The only issue is the seat tube is quite long so I can only run a 150mm dropper and that's is absolutely slammed into the frame. I think the newer frames have shorter seat tubes to avoid the problem.

My mate has a large ripmo, which seems about the right size for me as well.

It's not Cotic long the whole frame is designed around a longer stem.

2pure are really helpful if you give them a call.

I have a large LS, it’s a great all rounder, ignore the geometry numbers and try one. It rides differently to how the numbers would suggest

I own a 1st Gen Ripley LS with a 140mm fork. As already mentioned before, it's an amazing bike, full of pop and has a XC race bike peddling feel. It has a very low BB drop so I'm running 170mm cranks to minimise pedal strikes.

I'm 5'9 and sized up to a large for the reach (running 50mm stem) but at he expense of running a shorter (125mm)

Get the porkchop frame bag and you can go full enduro and leave the backpack at home.

Besides the long seat tube my other minor niggle is the spot where the shock yoke connects to the rear triangle. Its a mud trap and if not cleaned regularly can slowly wear the yoke.

Too small for you Tim đŸ™‚ Ibis sizing is strange. My old Mojo3 was a L and it felt tiny compared to the RipMo. But the RipMo has the dropped seat tube so I can run a 170mm.

I've ridden Tim's - briefly - and at 5ft11 it felt the right size for me. Short legs tho so even a 150mm dropper might be tight.
