I had a choice, leave the car at work and cycle home in the warm evening sun along the canal towpath, or rush home to catch the match, Hmmm....?

2.5 hours since England scored, would they make it in the Conference as a club team?

I don't understand, I don't understand why people watch football, I don't understand why people support England.

It's 1966 since England last won the World Cup forty four years ago, FORTY FOUR years, what's wrong with this country's psyche that every four years they think we're going to "do well"?

We have world champions that actually win things you can watch them compete with the genuine hope and expectation of a win but England and football, save yourselves the trouble.

So we should only watch sports where we think we will almost certainly win?

No, but why not give the credit to people who actually do well representing the country.

"they need a calsberg half time team talk"

FIFA and Budweiser would probably have something to say about that!

Got back at the 88th minute to see that exactly nothing had happened.

Aye - lovely evening ride, even if I do now have major nettle stings on one arm and a big scratch on the other!
