I have Shimano SLX 675 brakes with a M8000 shifter. With the brakes set in a position to give me my one finger braking the shifter is out of reach & I have to move my hand in along the grip to reach it - which is not ideal. I do have smallish hands & yes the shifter is positioned as out as possible. Any way round this?

Sounds like you need a bar clamp shifter, or a clamp adapter for your i-spec.

Ditch the i-spec and mount it where you need it (or Grip shift)

Hmm - can you get adapters to bar clamp an I-SpecB shifter? Or do I need a new bar mount shifter?

Are you sure your brakes are in the right position, if as you say you have small hands and the brakes are positioned right, unless you have a thumb that's on the rather small side you should be able to reach the shift paddles easily.

Are you braking with your finger at an angle towards the stem or more in a 90 deg angle from the bars?

I don't have particularly large hands and with M615 brakes with M8000 iSpec B shifter I find it a tad close.
