Jacquie won this at the World SS champs in 08. Charlie Cunningham designed it and Mike DeSalvo and Mike Varley at Black Mountain Cycles built it up.

Doesn't look "special" to me. Could be a painted Singular without a proper SS dropout.

It took two people to build up a singlespeed bike? Those yanks must be shit mechanics.
They have also left the levers pointing straight down to the floor. Stoners, I'll bet.

Crank is a road one? Also do the crank arms look longer than normal?

she's married to Cunningham anyway- odds are she's already got a stash of his bikes in the garage.

I think they're kickstands for when she pops to the shops.

Also two years to design and build and build a bike!!

Doesn't really float my boat, I think it's because it's set up for running gears, so not an out and out SSer.

Indeed, you can see the cable stops on the top tube (the brake hose has zip-tie mounts).

Rigid-specific 29er? Built for a small person? I like it.

I bet she won the oldest bike competition by a long way, if she was riding her Cunningham ๐Ÿ™‚

Stuff like the road cranks make sense for her, for the weight saving. It's not like she's some middle-aged, overweight, IT manager ๐Ÿ˜‰
