[Closed] I can't decide if this is a travesty or not - what does STW reckon?

It needs a 50mm stem and some cut down flats. that'd sort it out.

Hmmmmmmm I'm not feeling it and I can't help but think you're wasting a good road frame - but if it floats your boat and rides how you want it to ride then well done!

I think this would bring it on leaps and bounds!

Horizontal dropouts though - has it been customised or was it built like that?

With drop bars and some decent finishing kit it would be very nice indeed.

it's a free country - but if you paid money to have the dropouts butchered, then I think you'd have been better off buying a pompino

FCOL psychle, it's a Litespeed. ๐Ÿ™„ Get rid of, pronto, those ghastly grips and saddle and replace with something that befits such a classy steed. ๐Ÿ˜‰

HTH.

Bars, grips, saddle and stem ruin it for me. Put a non riser stem on, flat/very low rise bars and a black seat and it'll look great ๐Ÿ™‚

i'd like it if it was a shonky no-name, built out of spare parts, out of necessity.

but someone has spent lots of money on that, someone has tried to be different - and that's not cool.

if you are different - that is cool, but trying isn't.

I think bicycles that pish bicyclists off are very funny!

it's not the waste of a good frame that bothers is it, it's the fact that someone can afford to tit about with it!

perhaps, just perhaps, the rider is hapilly geting loads of miles in?!

thanks for all the comments chaps, I knew it'd spark a little debate ๐Ÿ˜† It's not my bike btw, found it for sale on Gumtree and kind of liked it... had it still been available I might well have picked it up as a 'city bike', though would've changed the bars to cowhorns and added a back brake! ๐Ÿ˜€
