Singlespeedroadbikeitis
Is there a cure? My old road bike has been singlespeeded and I am enjoying riding it. I haven't had a single speed bikes since I was about 12. I haven't ridden a road bike much for 20 years.
Help - is there any cure?
Nope, in my case the SS road bike was the start of a slippery slope to three geared road bikes (well, road, TT and CX...!).
Can't wait for the MPH claims... ๐
its singlespeed chunky - doubt I will ever get it up a big enough hill ๐
Why would you want to be cured from the one true way? ๐
Think of it as seeing the light.
To paraphrase, "you've taken your first steps into a wider world".

I did try rigid singlespeed mountainbike but that was step too far

My first road bike was a ss and i loved it. Stupidly i sold it as i wanted a geared bike as i thought it'd be better for longer rides.. turns out i don't like longer road rides (25 miles is ample) and ss probably would be better for fitness, the main reason i ride road anyway! Reckon when my drivetrain goes I'll probably sell it all and go back to a langster ๐
singlespeeded
Singlesped, ffs.
I'm sure you of all people could talk yourself out of it...
Help - is there any cure?
