Gets dark in the woods on your own...

It gets dark in the deep dark bits even WITH lights that work. Last year i got lost in some forest... was a very very Blair Witch moment i can tell you.

Why is it so easy to get lost on trails you know well in the dark?
And all the shaddows look like wolves?
