Can I mix Tiagra non drive side crank & XTR drive side?

Doesn't XTR rely on a preload collapse on the crank but tiagra has the twin pinch bolt? That will also mean the splines are different.

"preload collapse"

Not sure what that is.

M970 had the different fixing. M980 is two pinch bolt like Tiagra.

We probably need to know exactly what cranks the OP has.

If they did fit you'd have an asymmetrical q-factor which would be a bit weird and depending on the bike you may have clearance issues.

You appear to have all of the parts which puts you in a far better position than most on here to answer your question.

They appear the same but Tiagra doesn't slide on as smoothly & I don't want to force it if they are not compatible.

Just wondering about this myself for the commuter with a knackered XT pedal thread.

XT & XTR will work - a mate has this combo.

Is a Tiagra crank arm even going to clear your chainstay?

Yes, Q factor looks similar.
