I took the girlfriend out for a wee night ride a few weeks back and have just gone into the garden where her bike lives and realized that my hope hid is still bolted to the bars. It's well sealed and I would imagine it would be but are they go to go after they have been weathered for a fortnight or two.?

should be alright - I'd get it indoors and let it dry off away from direct heat (i.e. not on a radiator) before switching it on.
I'd imagine the battery was more likely to let in water if it's the neoprene sock type one - get the battery out the bag and dry off carefully.

Took the battery off after the ride to charge so that is safe and sound.
