Trying to take my seatpost from the frame and it wont budge and is completely seized.
Has anyone any ideas how to get it out? i have tried using wd40 but it wont budge.
there's been loads of threads on this mate. run a search and you'll find all sorts of suggestions.
Soak it with WD40 leave 10mins and then get a big adjustable monkey wrench with at least a 40cm arm, put an old inner tube around the seat post so you dont damage it and lever the wrench once clamped
If you are not to concerned about the post try absolutely soaking the whole seat clamp area in penetrating oil for a day or two, then turn the frame upside down and clamp the top of the post (where the saddle fits) into a vice and turn the frame by hand. forgot to mention you need a vice.... It ain't pretty but it can work.
good luck!
just been out and made use of the vice.
result is that the seatpost is out of the frame.......however the seatpost is now beyond use!!
Sometimes :
Liquid nitrogen works, put seatpost in container of liquid nitrogen freeze then in vise.
Or

Wurth Rost Off
etc....
Look on the bright side, the frame is still usable ๐
wish mine would come out!!! grrrrr!
