Sorry for title but didn’t know how to write down what I want.

So I’m thinking about some new forks and wanted to know if there is a place I can easily see the max/min travel any give model can do. I’m not super fussed on the top of the range pike or lyric as my skill level doesn’t justify them however but it would be good to be able to pick up a barging if I know I can make them the travel I want. They are basically for my RocketMAX so need to be able to go to 150-160 if not bought at that length and be able to do boost 29” and B+, tapered steerer at least 190mm long.

Sorry for the waffle hope that all makes sense.

Thanks

Tim

Should be listed on the website you buy them from, no?.
Failing that, check the rockshox website??

Yeah, I guess you can sometimes mod a fork to a different length if the physical parts are common, but you'd be best sticking to the "on the box" figures to prevent riding over your own face...

Unless I missunderstand the Q

Thanks for taking the time gofasterstripes. Not sure you get my question. As far as I understand it most recent rs forks have a travel “range”. This is achieved using different air shafts and/or internal tokens. Let’s say I buy a 130m Yari @£300 (special offer) cheaper that the 160mm Yari. That particular fork might have a “range” of 100-130mm (no use to me) or it could be 130-170mm in which case yay. I was wondering if there was a website that might list the different ranges so I could check when a good deal pops up if it will suite me.

Thanks for that seosamh77. I’ve used that before, unless I’m missing something it only tells you what travel the fork is supplied with. Also no help when buying new as don’t usually show serial numbers in adverts.

There aren't really many RS forks that fit the bill. It's either going to be:
Revelation/Pike - up to 160mm
Yari/Lyrik - up to 180mm

There's also the 35, but I think that's OEM only at the moment.

Thanks jp that’s useful. So basically I’m overthinking it. As long as it’s a rev, lyric,Yari or pike I’m good. So next question: will all boost 29 forks take a b+ 2.8” tyre?
